WHAT BIRTHED WRITE FOR AFRICA? 
Writing for Africa as a continent has been in my head long before the initiative was officially created on June 25. It was borne of the unending quests to gather writers on every shore of Africa and even Africans in the diaspora to write,discuss and analyse the labour of our heroes past, cultures, artefacts, values, just to mention a few. Africa is indeed a continent blessed with brains of all sort, therefore, WRITE FOR AFRICA INITIATIVE was birthed out of the desire to gather brains together in Africa to teach our past, discuss the status quo and analyse what is embedded in the future.
